There's no better way to learn about another culture than to immerse yourself in it. Whether you are in high school, taking a gap year, looking for a spring break trip for your college club, searching for a mission trip location for your church, or seeking to get hands-on medical and/or teaching experience, we invite you to Guanín through our partner company Student Services.

We will accommodate you from the second you step off the plane and hopefully will remain in your hearts for a lifetime. Based on your background and interests, we will design a program specifically for you and/or your group.

To completely immerse yourself in Dominican culture, you may want to live with a host family in Santo Domingo. Whomever you’re placed with, all host families are carefully screened and matched based on personality profiles and common interests.

 

Through your host family, you’ll build a second home and develop relationships that will endure long after you leave our island.

​

Although we work hard to make Guanín a better place to live and learn, you will also have time to relax and experience Dominican culture. Maybe you'll want to lounge on our white sand beaches, sail on a catamaran to Isla Saona, explore the caves of Los Haitíses National Park, experience white-water rafting, cheer on a professional Dominican baseball team, or browse our many markets. Maybe, you want to do all of these activities. We can make it happen for you.
